The single most important tip that we cannot emphasize enough is the simple maintenance that is required to ensure a long, trouble-free life for your Enforcer boat and Zenoah engine. Though maintenance for these boats are very minimal, we have found that certain care products and procedures are recommended over others.
Pre-mix oil - We recommend the use of AMSOil 100-1 two-cycle pre-mix oil at a ratio of 32-1. This works out to four ounces per one gallon of gasoline. Though the engine manufacturer recommends a leaner ratio, we have found over many years of testing and sales that this particular brand and mix ratio is superior in performance and reduced part wear.
Drive Shaft Lubrication - Any brand of wheel packing or marine grease is sufficient to lubricate the cable drive system. We recommend the use of a small hand held grease gun available through Warehouse Hobbies or other automotive outlets. These guns use small grease cartridges that are available at most automotive or automotive sections of department stores. Enforcer prepared Zenoah engines are equipped with a Zerk fitting so lubrication can be done in this manner.
Radio Box Tape - Warehouse Hobbies markets a specific clear vinyl one inch tape to seal Enforcer radio boxes. This tape leaves very little residue when removed. Electrical tape is permeable, but is more difficult to seal due to its black color in nature and tends to leave a greater amount of residue when removed. Cleaning - Enforcer boats can be cleaned inside and out with a mild grease cutting water-soluble detergent and warm water. The exterior of the boat can be waxed using any product that is safe for fiberglass gel-coat finishes.
Salt Water - Enforcer boats can be operated in salt water but require additional maintenance procedures immediately after use. Follow all directions that are included with your boat to perform proper maintenance.
