In the full size auto racing world we have the ability to purchase cars in many classes of racing that come almost complete less engine and transmission and they are known as 'Rollers'. I too have purchased a couple of rollers in my hobby racing for both oval dirt track and oval paved classes over the years.

Many of us as much as we would like to fabricate from the ground-up just can't find the time, and God knows most of use racers have accumulated a few engines and transmissions, as well as spare parts.
